This census also shows him as living next door to his future wife Mary Ann Axe (age 14 on this census).

If I'm to believe the census information is correct, then Daniel Basil was born sometime after June 1, 1834 and before July 11, 1834.

Below - two quotes that I need to find the sources for:
The 193rd Ohio Infantry was organized at Camp Chase in Columbus, Ohio and mustered in for one year service. The regiment was ordered to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and assigned to 2nd Brigade, 1st Provisional Division, Army of the Shenandoah, 20 March 1865; marched to Charleston 21 March, and duty there until 4 April. The regiment was then transferred to 2nd Brigade, 2nd Provisional Division, 27 March and moved to Winchester 4 April, and duty there until August 1865, when it was mustered out of service at Winchester, Virginia.
Col., Eugene Powell; Lieut.-Col., John E. Jewett; Maj., Luke Murrin. This regiment was organized at Camp Chase in March, 1865, to serve for one year, and immediately after its organization started for the Shenandoah Valley. It moved from Harper's Ferry to Halltown and Charlestown, and at the latter place was partly organized with other regiments into brigades and divisions.
From Charlestown it marched up the Shenandoah Valley to Winchester, where it remained until after the surrender of the Confederate armies. It was mustered out of service on Aug. 4, 1865, in accordance with orders from the war department.
